The outpouring of support has sparked significant financial and logistical responses. On July 6, President Trump declared a Major Disaster, activating the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assist in rescue efforts.

In addition, the NFL, along with the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans, pledged a combined $1.5 million to provide immediate assistance and long-term resources. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders also contributed an additional $500,000 in partnership with The Salvation Army.

As of now, over 400 first responders from 20 agencies have conducted more than 525 rescue operations, saving over 850 individuals within just 36 hours. The road to recovery will be long, requiring the rebuilding of homes, schools, and lives.
