Bergen County’s Star-Spangled Spectacular: A Celebration of Independence Day

Exciting Events Planned for July 4th

RIDGEFIELD PARK — This Fourth of July, Overpeck County Park will come alive with food trucks, live music, and a dazzling fireworks display as part of Bergen County’s second annual "Star-Spangled Spectacular." The event promises a day filled with family-friendly activities, making it a perfect way to celebrate America’s independence.

Musical Lineup and Activities

The festivities kick off at 2 p.m. with a DJ, a variety of food trucks, and a beer garden, alongside youth entertainment featuring inflatables. The musical acts set to perform include:

• 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. – Glenn Roberts Country Band
• 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. – Tempo Alegre Latin Band
• 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Super Trans Am Band
• 8 p.m. – New Jersey Wind Symphony

The evening will culminate with a spectacular fireworks show at 9:30 p.m., lighting up the skies over Overpeck Creek.

County Executive Jim Tedesco expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Last year’s Star-Spangled Spectacular marked a new tradition for Bergen County, and we’re proud to build on that momentum in 2025. We invite families from across the County to come together at Overpeck Park as we celebrate our country’s independence.”

A Community Celebration

Chris Wilhjelm, music director of the New Jersey Wind Symphony, shared his excitement: “We’re honored to once again be part of Bergen County’s official Fourth of July celebration. It’s a joy to share this day of patriotic pride through music, and we look forward to uplifting the spirit of our community with another memorable performance.”

In case of inclement weather, a rain date is scheduled for July 5th. Commissioner Chairwoman Mary Amoroso remarked, “This event reminds us of the power of community and the enduring spirit of America.”
