Officials indicated that several permanent buildings at Wisconsin State Fair Park, including The Dairy Building, Exposition Center, Wisconsin Products Pavilion, and Grand Champion Hall, were available for shelter.
Weather permitting, the fair was scheduled to remain open until midnight on Saturday, although some attractions and buildings closed earlier. The final day of this year’s fair is Sunday, August 10, with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Continuing Weather Concerns
The FOX6 Weather Experts have warned that additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected Saturday night, with the potential for torrential rainfall, particularly west of Milwaukee. Heavy rain may persist into Sunday morning, with another wave of thunderstorms anticipated Sunday night.
