October 15, 2025 — Cobb Schools has once again demonstrated exceptional academic performance, achieving an average ACT score of 23.7 for the year 2025. This impressive figure significantly surpasses both Georgia’s average of 21.4 and the national average of 19.4, solidifying Cobb’s position as a leader in educational excellence.

The latest data highlights a consistent upward trend in ACT scores for Cobb Schools, rising from 22.8 in 2024 and 22.7 in 2023. This year, Cobb Schools ranks No. 1 among Metro Atlanta districts, outperforming Gwinnett, DeKalb, Marietta City, and Fulton County in student success on the ACT.

Among the standout institutions, Wheeler High School achieved an average score of 28.5, ranking second in Georgia. Other notable mentions include Walton High School with an average of 26.8, placing seventh, and Pope High School, which secured the 18th spot with an average score of 25.1.

Additionally, the 2025 graduating class celebrated the achievement of eight students who scored a perfect composite score of 36.0. This includes two students from Lassiter High School and three from both Walton and Wheeler.
